Program’s Purpose, Goals, Methods, and Philosophies
A New Beginning Preschool Learning Center is based around a curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and prepares children for grade school. There are three basic fundamentals that comprise the philosophy, Bonding, Consistency and Respect.
Fundamentals
Bonding and Attachment are both cornerstones of human development. These terms are interchangeable, however, there are distinguishing stages between infancy and toddler hood. Bonding is the beginning of trust between child and care giver/teacher. Successful bonding results in a child acquiring trust in others as their needs are being met.
Consistency Children need a stable environment. Children need to know that their environment is trusting enough to explore and achieve success. Therefore, schedules and routines should be consistent to help foster self-confidence, independence and satisfying relationships with peers and adults.
Respect Bonding and Consistency develops a relationship for respecting each other. The relationship with student and teacher is a give and take, trial and error, and compromise. Since teachers are always learning a child is always forgiving. Respect is a critical tool in the development of children. A respectable relationship initiates a child to have an expectation level of her/his educational specialist. It promotes fairness and self worth and enables a child to utilize their environment successfully.
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide a safe, clean, healthy, nurturing educational environment that will embrace milestones and inspire children to be the best that they can be. Each child is special, so learning should be spectacular.
A New Beginning Preschool Learning Center offers discoverable areas of learning. Children can explore freely and learn at their own developmental pace. Large learning areas are created with the child’s interest in mind. The overall focus is embracing milestones and preparing young children for kindergarten. Some favorite areas of learning that will be available are science, math, art, sensory activities, creative thinking, horticulture, and physical education. Teachers will facilitate and help encourage children through each area of learning. We also provide napping area and healthy snacks.
